At the end, you get up from the table. The cleaning crew takes care of the rest.
Worry-Free was really invented by couples. After wedding after wedding we heard the same question: “can we just pay for the final clean-up?”. After a weekend full of emotions not everyone has the energy, or a willing family, for a Monday morning in the barn – and that’s completely fine. So you can leave the final clean-up to a trusted crew, hand over the keys at 8 pm on Sunday and go home to rest.
As with any rental: hand back what you received.
Hiring the barn is a bit like renting a holiday house: you receive it clean and ready, and at the end you hand it back in a similar state – ready for the next couple. Much of it takes care of itself: our trusted caterers clean up after themselves, and if a few plates or glasses are left on the tables, we collect them ourselves and are happy to help with the tidying. What’s left for you, usually with help from family and the wedding party, by the end of Monday:
- take down the decorations – clean ours and put them back in the store, take your own home
- clear everything off the tables and leave them empty
- collect and take out the rubbish from the hall and the grounds around the barn
- leave the kitchen clean and tidy, ready for the next couple
- collect leftover food and drinks from the cold room (until 8 pm on Tuesday)
Hand over the keys and go home to rest.
A trusted cleaning crew comes in after you and handles the whole final clean-up, while you leave at 8 pm on Sunday just as you were sitting at the table. No need to come back on Monday.
- taking down and cleaning our decorations and putting them back in the store
- taking down your own decorations and gathering them in one place, ready to collect
- washing the tableware from the tables
- cleaning the kitchen
- cleaning the hall and all the grounds, taking out the rubbish
We look after the toilets all weekend and freshen up the hall for the Sunday party between 7 and 10 am – that’s included in the hire. We clean the rooms after guests as part of the accommodation price. Our recommended caterers clean up after themselves, and we collect any stray plates and glasses left on the tables ourselves.
How to decide?
If you have family keen on a shared Monday morning in the barn, you don’t need the package – some couples actually enjoy that calm end to the weekend. If you’d rather your last memory be Sunday evening, not mops, take Worry-Free. Add it with the contract or later in the Wedding Assistant, at least 7 days before the wedding – that’s the time we need to book the cleaning crew.
